Server pool¶
A server pool combines multiple servers. It allows computations to be assigned automatically to available servers in the pool, so you do not need to manually select a free server for each computation.
When a server belongs to a server pool, the following settings are configured at the pool level and apply to all servers in the pool:
Program licenses
Sharing settings (with users or groups)
Settings configured individually for a server are ignored if that server belongs to a pool. You can also configure the following limits for each user group or for individual users:
Sequential computations limit – controls how computations are distributed across the servers in the pool.
Duration limit – restricts how long a computation can run, helping prevent excessively long computations when such restrictions are required.
